10 Year Anniversary Celebrations

Thank You for celebrating KHC's 10 Year Anniversary with us!

On November 23, KHC community was out in full force to celebrate and support our successes over the past ten years. The evening was a celebration and appreciation of our supporters, partners, and volunteers through the years as well as our achievements to date. The room was abuzz with excitement as old and new friends connected, reflected on the past, and looked forward to the future of conservation in the Kawarthas.

We had nearly 130 guests attend our event at the Canadian Canoe Museum. Guests included KHC volunteers, past and current board members, land donors, financial supporters - both individual and business, local politicians, and various partners. The agenda included an array of presentations from individuals who spoke about the founding of the organization, current initiatives and partnerships, and the future.

Many Many thanks to our volunteers Amanda Warren, Laura Walker, Matthew Edwards, Ian Spooner, Danielle Hilts, and Ryan Browne who were instrumental in organizing all the big and little things to ensure a smooth evening. Thank you for all your efforts. We couldn't have done it without you.

Thanks also to our speakers and KHC supporters Terry Rees of the Federation of Ontario Cottagers' Associations (left photo) and Andrea Dicks (centre photo) of the Community Foundation of Greater Peterborough, who spoke about the relationships and partnerships that has helped build the organization and which will help move us forward. The Vincent family (right), one of our land donors, honoured us with their presence. Les Vincent spoke about his passion for the land he and Sandra donated recently and their partnership with and commitment to KHC's work.

Bob Browne, board member, was out there to help at every stage of the event organization. At the event, our board of directors were on hand to help work the large crowd of partners, supporters, volunteers, and other delegates. We are proud of our board!
