Land Trust Alliances

The Ontario Land Trust Alliance (OLTA) provides administrative and professional support to its province-wide network of members.  Links to member organizations are available from OLTA’s website.

The Canadian Land Trust Alliance (CLTA) – currently has a membership of 125 land trusts working in communities across the country.

The Land Trust Alliance (LTA) in the U.S. was founded in 1982 and has a wealth of information about the American land trust movement.

Natural Heritage Data

The Natural Heritage Information Centre (NHIC) compiles, maintains and distributes information on natural species, plant communities and spaces of conservation concern in Ontario.

Stewardship

Ontario Stewardship is a program of the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources providing Stewardship Coordinators and resources to Stewardship Councils made up of landowners and land interest groups who determine the environmental priorities for the county.

Tallgrass Ontario is a network of organizations and individuals working toward the shared goal of prairie and savanna conservation in Ontario.
