Partners

The Conservancy is a member of several multi-organization partnerships:

Large Woodlands Conservation Cooperative (LWCC) –  Stewardship, naturalist and other organizations, including the Conservancy, make up this group who work with woodlot owners whose properties together make up large, relatively unfragmented forests in south central Ontario. LWCC activities include conducting workshops, field trips and site visits to encourage ecologically sound forest stewardship of large tracts of woodlands.

Ganaraska Hills Project Area, Caring For the Moraine Project – This is a multi-partner initiative that connects landowners in priority areas of the Oak Ridges Moraine with conservation and environmental organizations in order to foster restoration and stewardship practices.

Waterway Wildlife – Kawartha Team – This is a partnership of conservation and stewardship organizations working together to raise awareness of wildlife at risk and their habitats in the vicinity of the Trent-Severn Waterway. The Conservancy is a member of the Kawartha Region Team of the Waterway Wildlife partnership.  Turtles, birds and other species that need our support are the focus of outreach and projects that demonstrate good stewardship along the Trent-Severn. There are two other teams on the waterway, west and south of our region.  The program is funded by the Trent-Severn Waterway.
