- Provides information and referrals for landowners wishing to conserve key ecological and cultural features through stewardship initiatives on their own land including information on tax benefits
- Offers information and advice on ecological and cultural conservation and tax benefits to government agencies, and community organizations
- Provides information and referrals to the public
- Develops programs to focus research and conservation efforts on particular ecological features, cultural areas or types of land
- Partners with educational institutions and community organizations to conduct research on issues relating to ecological and cultural conservation
- Informs and supports action that promotes long-term conservation of natural and cultural features in the Kawartha bioregion
