The Conservancy provides landowners with information about various options available to achieve the owner’s conservation goals for their property. Expertise regarding tax benefits, help to access various incentive programs and referrals are provided through discussions based on what the landowner feels is right for their particular situation. One may want to ensure that a long-held family property is kept intact, while another may want to ensure that a wetland is protected from encroachment and development. Yet others may feel that a woodlot tended and managed for years should continue to receive the same loving attention.

Conservancy staff have extensive expertise in the legal and financial aspects of making conservation donations, however anyone involved in a transfer of property is always advised to also get independent legal and financial advice.
