Volunteer for the Conservancy

Volunteer opportunities may include:

  • Land stewardship activities
  • Outreach

  • Fundraising
  • Special projects

Current Volunteer Opportunities:

Administrative Coordinator: We are looking for a volunteer administrative coordinator to assist us with organizational activities. Tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • answering phone calls, preparing and sending correspondences,
  • writing and preparing reports, documents, spreadsheets
  • preparing and updating promotional material
  • organizing and managing the office
  • participating in committee meetings relating enviromental land management, cultural heritage, fundraising and special projects
  • other tasks as assigned
  • *These task would be completed with assistance and supervision from existing staf

Proposed minimum time commitment:

  • 4 hours a day and 3 days a week
  • duration (start/end date): ASAP to ongoing if available

Other Opportunities:

  • Assist with developing outreach/marketing material including periodic newsletters, posters, presentations, handouts, etc.

  • Writing articles for and contacting the media

  • Help with organizing and facilitating a speaker series for the organization

  • Technical assistance with updating our cultural heritage database

  • Assist with and populate our committees including lands and fundraising

  • Research on cultural and natural heritage, land trusts work, cultural planning, and carbon trading

Periodic Opportunities:

  • Tree Planting
  • Land stewardship activities
  • Biological inventory of properties
  • Site inspection
  • Monitoring of conservation easements
  • Outreach
  • Fundraising
