Volunteer for the Conservancy

We are always looking for people interested in volunteering! Click Volunteer Profiles to see what volunteers are currently doing for us.

New: We are looking for volunteers to help with site visits to gather flora and fauna data and then help organize the resulting information. If interested, please contact Ian Attridge at: 705-743-5599, or iattridge @ kawarthaheritage.org

Volunteer opportunities may include:

  • Land stewardship activities
  • Outreach
  • Research projects
  • Fundraising
  • Special projects

Current Volunteer Opportunities:

  • Assist with cultural and natural heritage data collection
  • Assist with developing outreach/marketing material including periodic newsletters, posters, presentations, handouts, etc.
  • Writing articles for and contacting the media

  • Help with organizing and facilitating a speaker series for the organization

  • Technical assistance with updating our cultural heritage database

  • Assist with and populate our committees including lands management and fundraising

  • Research on cultural and natural heritage and land trusts related work

Periodic Opportunities:

  • Tree Planting
  • Land stewardship activities
  • Biological inventory of properties
  • Site inspection
  • Monitoring of conservation easements
  • Outreach
  • Fundraising
